Studio Policies
Payment Methods:
Payment through Cash, Venmo, or Paypal (links provided upon request).
Payment Schedules:
Payment is collected by lesson or by month.
Assignment of Time slots:
If you need to switch your weekly lesson time, let me know as soon as possible. If two students request the same time slot, the slot is assigned based on seniority.
Canceling Classes:
Students canceling and needing to reschedule last minute may reschedule to any other slot that week I have open, with no penalty. Students are allowed 1 complete cancellation with no rescheduling within 4 lessons (One month for weekly students, and 2 months for bi-weekly students) without penalty, however upon the second cancellation in this time frame, the following charges are applied: If you cancel more than 12 hours before your lesson (day before your lesson or more) you are responsible for paying part of your lesson fee ($15 for a 30-min lesson, and $30 for a 1-hour). If you cancel less than 12 hours before your lesson (day of lesson) you are responsible for paying your entire lesson fee.
I cannot always guarantee a suitable replacement lesson time especially on short notice! But I will always make every attempt to figure something out with students as my goal is for you to succeed in having the best opportunity to learn.
Emergency circumstances are a part of life, and I am very understanding if you need to cancel for something such as illness, death in the family, car wreck, etc. I ask that you let me know as soon as you know of something that will affect your lesson time, and we can decide whether a rescheduling or cancellation is needed. Each emergency instance will be taken on a case-by-case basis.
Guest Policy:
All students are welcome to bring along a guest if it makes them feel more comfortable or they are driving the student home, etc.
Privacy Policy:
Personal information will not be shared, sold or rented with any other organization.
Books and Materials:
You must bring a good attitude and willingness to learn to every lesson. It is also suggested that you bring a pen/pencil, some scratch paper and a folder to organize your materials in. It is recommended that you bring your own guitar if at all possible. You may play one of my guitars if you cannot bring your own. However, you will progress faster on your own instrument, due to familiarity with the instrument as well as being able to practice on it at home. I do provide supplemental resources via Google Drive and printed sheets. I also assign practice material each lesson for the student to work on for the next lesson with the expectation they come in having spent time during the week practicing.
